Video - Windows Media Player Help
You May Already Have
Windows Media Player
- Windows Media Player comes bundled
with many of the different versions of Windows. To
check to see if you have it installed already, click
Start > Programs > Accessories > Entertainment
and then look for the item labled 'Windows Media Player.'
If you use Windows XP, it may be installed in simply
Start > Programs If it is not present, follow the
instructions below to download Windows Media Player.
- When you are connected to the Internet,
check for latest updates through Help > Check for
Player Upgrades

You May Need to Download Windows Media
Player
for MacOS 8-9, MacOS X, Solaris, or Microsoft Windows:
- Visit Microsoft's
site to download the necessary Windows Media player
software: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/download/default.asp
- Follow the instructions
to download and install the Player on your computer
- You will probably have to restart
your computer
If You're Having Trouble
A common solution if you're experiencing
trouble is in Media Player, under the Tools menu item,
select Options, and then the Network tab. Uncheck UDP
and Multicast. You might need to close Media Player
and restart it to have it use the changes. This can
help a lot.
