Music Mp3 Help

What is an MP3 file?
MP3 is short for MPEG-1 Layer 3 (Moving Pictures Expert Group), a format for storing digital audio. MP3 is a compression form (like .zip) that reduces the file size with little reduction in audio quality. MP3 is used particularly for music distribution over the Internet. You can recognize MP3 files by their file extension, ".mp3".

How do I play MP3 files?
Since MP3 format needs to be decompressed when played, you need a computer to play MP3 files (they cannot be played on ordinary home stereo CD players) and MP3 player software.

There are many MP3 players available on the Internet for all computer platforms. For example, Winamp(R) is a common MP3 player for Windows 95/98/NT. It also supports other audio formats such as WAV, MID, MOD and CD audio. Winamp(R) has a very simple interface that can be used by anybody who has operated a CD player.
