Metal Work

The Diaguitas exploited copper mines befote the arrival of the Incas, whom apparently introduced gold extraction in our territory as tribute.
Apparently bronce was brought to us from Bolivia or could be tin produced in a small sheets.
It is probably that the use of metals was introduced in Chile by the Chinchas, whom passed by Tihuanaco and the Inca empire.
Between others, the objects found were earings, chisels (El Olivar), axes (Hurtado), knifes and tumis, rustic metal plaques, hooks, copper neadles, brazelets, gauntlets and three small Inca statues, two golden ones and a silver one.
