The Diaguitas exploited copper mines befote the arrival
of the Incas, whom apparently introduced gold extraction
in our territory as tribute.
Apparently bronce was brought to us from Bolivia or
could be tin produced in a small sheets.
It is probably that the use of metals was introduced
in Chile by the Chinchas, whom passed by Tihuanaco and
the Inca empire.
Between others, the objects found were earings, chisels
(El Olivar), axes (Hurtado), knifes and tumis, rustic
metal plaques, hooks, copper neadles, brazelets, gauntlets
and three small Inca statues, two golden ones and a
silver one.
