In this zone, dances are principally religious. On the Andean area that covers from the limit of Peru and Bolivia, up to San Pedro de Atacama, province of Antofagasta, the parties, whatever the town in wich the party is, brotherhoods of other places go, and in these celebrations; music principally takes the shape of a ceremonial dance.
In this area we distinguish types of dances, such as: The blooming of the Llamas, Miercoles de Ceniza, The cross fever, Clanning of channels,Celebrations of the deaf, etc.
Between the festivities celebrated in this area we will quote: the one of San Pedro de Atacama, the Virgen of Las Peñas in the Sanctuary of Livilcar and the most known, the Party of the Tirana.
